Reliability of modern devices: Throwing a dice

Sometimes I feel that pressing a button (whether hard- or software) these days is more like throwing a dice.
Maybe it does what you expect - maybe it doesn't.
And it doesn't matter if you've pressed the same button a million times before.
Just like throwing a dice...
