A german rhyme that came to my mind today when I heard about someone writing an armada of batch scripts to glue some programs together (windows) - which, as you can imagine, did not really provide a reliable result:

Es is a Batch-Skript, weil's ka Bash gibt!

Trying a translation:

"Theres lots of batch scripts, when the lack of bash hits!"

That kinda should sum it up.
