Video/Audio on TomTom Go (3rd edition)

Post by ^rooker »

1) Download "TomPlayer" from Sourceforge:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/tomplayer/
It's a zip file called something like:
http://heanet.dl.sourceforge.net/source ... v0.213.zip

2) Just extract the tomplayer zip and copy files it to tomtom's root folder:
From "distrib" folder, copy the following folders to your TomTom's main directory:
- SDKRegistry
- tomplayer
- audio
- video

(no need to copy the other files. eg. "ttsystem")

3) Then drop audio / video files in the corresponding folders ("audio", "video").

4) Unmount the TomTom USB mass storage and reboot it

That's it.
You now have a new menu option (probably on a new page) called "tomplayer".
Worked flawlessly on the first try on my "TomTom 3rd edition" - No firmware hack or other stuff necessary.

Jumping out of an airplane is not a basic instinct. Neither is breathing underwater. But put the two together and you're traveling through space!
