OwnCloud, WebDAV + Thunar (XFCE): Connection terminated

[PROBLEM]
Trying to open a secure WebDAV link (from OwnCloud), using Thunar - and the prefix "davs://".
This used to work with that OwnCloud server, but since some time Thunar now throws the following error:
It might be related to a self-signed SSL certificate being used.
Thunar does not ask for certificate confirmation.

Regular (non-SSL) WebDAV works - using the prefix "dav://"Failed to open "davs://my.server.example/owncloud/remote.php/webdav".
HTTP Error: Connection terminated unexpectedly.
