Xubuntu & Jami:

Post by ^rooker »

[PROBLEM]
I've installed "Jami" for testing on Xubuntu 16.04 (64bit), using snapd:

Code: Select all

$ sudo snap install jami --edge
I could open Jami once and created an account.
Then it crashed, and since then I suddenly cannot open Jami/Ring anymore due to this error:
Unable to initialize.
Make sure the ring daemon (dring) is running
Error: walta/assets/checkbox-checked-selectionmode@2.png
[SOLUTION]
Haven't solved it yet. :roll:

What I've found out so far:

Code: Select all

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 13 Oct 11 01:05 /snap/bin/jami.dring -> /usr/bin/snap
Was the only thing i that "find / -iname "*dring*" came up with, and it's a symlink to "snap". :?

To be continued...
