Proxmox, ZFS: trouble witing out superblocks. Error 144

Post by ^rooker »

[PROBLEM]
Spending yet-another-day, trying to setup a Proxmox server on Debian 8.
I've gotten quite far, but having LXC containers on ZFS storage doesn't work for me, since I've changed the mountpoint of ZFS to /mnt

Trying an evil workaround-hack, I've removed the ZFS-type storage for containers and replaced it with a directory-type storage.

Throws the following error when trying to create a container from template:
Warning, had trouble writing out superblocks.TASK ERROR: command 'mkfs.ext4 -O mmp -E 'root_owner=0:0' /mnt/tank/pve_data/containers/images/100/vm-100-disk-1.raw' failed: exit code 144
Seems that I'm stuck:

:(
Jumping out of an airplane is not a basic instinct. Neither is breathing underwater. But put the two together and you're traveling through space!

Proxmox really feels very unstable/incomplete/incompatible compared to other VM Host solutions :/
